Sigma II’s original incorporation was in 1988. The company was founded by Joseph R. Hiles, and Sophocles Sophocleous. Both men were successful in the Life Insurance business, and decided to move their efforts into the Employee Benefits arena. The company was founded on the premise to always put the best interest of the client first and every thing else will take care of itself.

This was and has always been the philosophy of both principles. The company was built by negotiating the best rates possible for clients. In addition, client service has been a key factor in maintaining its reputation.

This philosophy has allowed Sigma II to develop into one of Cleveland’s top ten largest employee benefit firms, that remain privately owned. Our professional staff manages over 400 Northeast Ohio Companies and includes five states. Whether 2 employees or 2000, Sigma is dedicated to the needs of each client.

Sigma II has grown considerably in its client base. Along with this growth was a need for additional professional staff and space. May of 2005 was our move to Independence, where we proudly serve our clients.

As of today, Sigma II has over 8,000 satisfied clients under the guise of 400 plus companies. Sigma II is currently domiciled out of the state of Ohio; however, we service clients in each of the 50 states. While understanding our clients’ goals and objectives in today’s market conditions, we continue to strive for excellent benefits for employees at a reasonable cost for employers.

Sigma II keeps abreast of health care trends and are qualified in HRA’s, HSA’s and wellness implementation.
